Seven Veils Question

The seven veils are a collection of items from the MIC. Each gives immunity to a specific color of a prismatic effect.
This is pretty much the same wording for all of them:

Wearing a (name of veil) gives you immunity to the (color) effect of any prismatic spell
Does this mean a caster with the Veil of Whispers (immunity to indigo) is capable of casting through a prismatic wall/sphere? Or does immunity only protect him when he walks through one? Or is it one of those many grey areas requiring DM interpretation :smallamused:

It means you don't have to save against that layer if you have to walk through somebody else's Prismatic spell, and you are immune if you happen to get hit with that color as part of a Prismatic Spray or similar. If you ignored the layer entirely, it'd say so- your spells are not you and don't share your immunity.
