hey i'm building a character in pathfinder for the first time, i'm making a bard.

I was wondering peoples thoughts on some good feats/spells whatever to invest in? he's gonna be level three, i'm thinking weapon finesse cause i'd like to make him a bit of a duellist.

Help please?

Also buying eighteen points worth of stats.

well... id o not know much about PF, but I guess it has the same resources available as regular 3.5 right?

if that is so, I recommend reading this three threads

The handbook

Optimizing Inspire Courage
http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19869994/Bard_Inspire_Courage_Optimization

And finally, to get as many stacking bonuses to Cha as humanly possible, the X to Y list

this three links should get you on your way to builing an optimized bard.

I like bards overall, once they are build correctly they can become a melee powerhouse while stilll keeping awesome flavour and utility.
