KBF and myself are going to attempt to let’s play this game. I actually really enjoy these games however the only one I’ve finished is the third one as the others got a little too grindy for me with nothing to break it up so I just petered out at various points throughout them. I’m hoping that this will be enough to get me to actually finish this game. We each have a character, mine is Milicent the Landsknect and KBF’s is Karine the Medic too sisters in way over their heads with this adventuring thing. The maximum party size is 5 however there is also space on the bench for more characters after that, we are looking for at least three more characters to fill our party and would love to take forum suggestions.

Okay so we’re level 1 which means we only get three skills points… I’ll put a point into swords because that’s where I want to focus… seeing as that unlocked “Cleaver” I guess I’ll put a point there too. Finally, I’ll just put a point into ATK Up just for a little bit of extra damage.
Sis why are your skills so boring?

I'm being thrifty, but it’s not really by choice... I’m suddenly less excited about the swords… Actually this swords look pretty decent! We’ll get you this staff too because it raises your TEC by 1.
That's good, I feel bad spending our en, but all the greatest magics come from staffs. There are no reputable instances of wands.

I suggest Tycho the alchemist, first portrait from the left. And start by... investing in volt or fire magic. I seem to recall both being handy here.

Obviously he is a grumpy scholar who gets overenthusiastic when science is involved.

Alexis, the Protector (second over from the left). The only survivor of a guild which fell in the first stratum, she tends to keep her distance from the others, which makes her seem a bit harsh and unfeeling at times, and though her experience is limited to the first stratum and she's a bit out of practice due to the extended down-time since then, she has a firm grasp of the basics. She volunteered to sign on because Milicent and Karine remind her of her first guild, and by protecting them, she can try to make up for her original failure. Not that she'd ever admit something like that, though.

EDIT: Ah, forgot to put skills. 1 Shield, 1 Front Guard, 1 Back Guard. Long-run, head for Defender, then the Anti-Elements (rank 5). Apparently, Provoke is broken in EO1, otherwise that would have been my first choice.

Old hand who Milly and Karine reminds him of his daughters, who adventured down into the Labyrinth and never came back. He sees them as his second chance to do right by them and possibly find out what his daughters' fate was, deep in the forests below.

Sorry, if its okay would you mind retooling this backstory a bit? It's pretty similar to Alexis' and we feel that her role as protector in game play will make that easier to write and KBF doesn't feel that comfortable with trying to tackle something as heavy as dealing with the remains of a missing loved one in the context of this LP, sorry :smallredface:.

Anyway next post should be up by KBF in a day or two with any hope.

I suppose that is on the heavy side of things. I'd like to keep the old salt part but perhaps change his backstory to being an old codger that appreciates hanging around young people to feel young again himself and make up for what he didn't manage to do when he was younger. Better?

Well, I'm hoping this is still going. Would be a shame (if understandable, given the lack of feedback) if this LP stopped.

Who's the 6th party member going to be? I'm assuming there will be one, since Survivalists aren't exactly great in combat.

Survivalists have some of the best damage in the game, though they're arguably outdone by Cadaceus Medics. I would suggest a Protector without Defender seeing as how most Medics take Immunize.

The group would benefit from a second Survivalist though, one geared toward Gathering.
