Where are the info/stats on Fallen Paladins/Paladins of Tyranny, etc.?

I would like to introduce something of the like into a story I'm running, but I have never played or DM'd a Paladin. I pretty much know zilch about 'em.

I would like to create a regiment of these things because they have a religious devotion and they would have been converted (through whatever ritual) to the dark side. The god is a homebrew with domains in War, Tyranny, Trickery, and Death. I know that's a cleric type setup, but how would it translate to a paladin? Additionally, I would like to make them a twisted version of wood elves or any elvish race, that are primarily two-hand weapon wielders.

Any advice is appreciated.

Here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#paladinofTyrannyClassF eatures) are the paladin of tyranny rules.

A paladin who ceases to be lawful good, who willfully commits an evil act, or who grossly violates the code of conduct loses all paladin spells and abilities (including the service of the paladin’s mount, but not weapon, armor, and shield proficiencies). She may not progress any farther in levels as a paladin. She regains her abilities and advancement potential if she atones for her violations (see the atonement spell description), as appropriate.

Basically a fighter without bonus feats. :smalltongue:

Unearthed Arcana or SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#paladinVariantsFreedom SlaughterAndTyranny) has the variant Paladins and PHB/SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/paladin.htm) has fallen Paladins right in the entry.

EDIT: Darn'ed Swordsages!

GAH! They sound too weak. Looks like I'm gonna go Warblade buildin' again...

Crusader might also work, thematically and not being a warbladeness.

The best way to emulate alignment inspecific paladins is with an assortment of martial clerics, crusaders and sorcadins(utilizing the proper variant for the alignment you want). In fact, the class diversity will make encounters with this regiment for more realistic and interesting.

also if you want you use specifically paladins you could just remove the alignment restriction and code, in order enable paladins of any alignment.
for abilities just recrunch smite evil as smite(whatever you're attacking atm)
and change detect evil to detect alignment(good, evil, lawful, and chaotic).
Also perhaps changing the mount list to creatures of appropriate alignments, with a warhorse as a base for paladins who want a more mundane mount.

That was a look before you leap question. I only have the Warblade handbook. Not the Tome of Battle. ...though it seems more and more apparent that it should be the next purchase.

Dragon Magazine issues 310 and 312 have non-LG paladin variants (312's are the Evil variants).

If you like the idea of the alternate type paladins but want them stronger, consider a Cleric /PrC Paladin of Tyranny 2/More Cleric or Cleric PrCs. With the Holy Mount feat, you have all the Paladin class features, but you have nearly full Cleric casting.

Consider also throwing in Bone Knight levels to really go over the top.

Crusader is good, you pretty much just have to choose a path and most of your abilities hurt/protect people but have greater affect against people opposed to your alignment . I think either component so you could smite people who where good or your opposite on law/chaos
