Say you had 4 levels of fighter and 10 levels of ranger.

and you had weapon focus Long bow and weapon spec long bow.

If you used Serpentine arrows from races of wild. they do slashing AND piercing damage. Can you take Ranged weapons mastery twice for +2dmg/+hit for slashing AND peircing to get a total of +4/+4?

I had a talk with my friend and he said it SHOULDNT stack because two sets of typeless damage shouldnt go on one weapon( arrow )

Or do they stack? and one have proof ? Or does this not work

Untyped bonuses from the same source don't stack, so I'd say no. But you could try to make the argument that RWM(Piercing) is a separate feat from RWM(Slashing) and thus are different sources I guess. It wouldn't be really overpowered if you did let it work.

Over powered in what way? An archer gets an extra 2 hit/damage while wizards teleport across planets and über chargers make dragons 10 crs above them never want to land?

Archery needs the help anyway. I'd allow it.

Ahh yeah that does say something, its two separate feats.

Technically it should but... Hmm

The PHB2 errata answers this question. You can probably find the errata pdf on google, but ultimately, it specifies that Melee and Ranged Weapon Mastery feats don't offer a benefit for each type of damage that the weapon deals. With a Morningstar, for example, you'd still only gain +2/+2.

EDIT: Misread the question. I don't think you can take the feat twice but let me check the errata.

Okay, so per the official errata, here's the answer:

On Melee Weapon Mastery:

Add the following the two following sentence to
the end of the “Benefit” section: “Weapons with
two damage types (such as the morningstar, which
does bludgeoning and piercing damage) the
benefits of Melee Weapon Mastery (bludgeoning)
and Melee Weapon Mastery (piercing) do not stack.
But the bonuses from this feat do stack with those
gained from Weapon Focus and Weapon
Specialization.

On Ranged Weapon Mastery:

Add the following text to the end of the “Benefit”
section: The bonuses from this feat do stack with
those gained from Weapon Focus and Weapon
Specialization.

So while it's probably RAI that RWM should function as with MWM above, the errata doesn't specify as such. The default rule here then, is whether or not untyped bonuses from the sources with the same name stack or not...and they don't. There's an argument to be made that the damage is not from the same source (+2/+2 Piercing and +2/+2 Slashing) but, the fact is that Slashing and Piercing are just selected pre-requisites.

Mechanically, what you're getting is (+2/+2 untyped when using a weapon of the selected type) and in both cases it'd be from a source with the same name, ergo, by RAW, this doesn't work.

Would it hurt to rule that the opposite is true? Probably not. As said, Archery needs all the help it can get.
