I will go first.

[roll0]

I will use E - Emergency Call to add Elemental Hero Prisma from my deck to my hand. I summon him to the field. I reveal the Elemental Hero Neos Knight in my Extra Deck to copy Neos, sending the real one to the grave from my deck. That's it, your move.

(Accidentally posted my original draw in the first post, so skipping that part)

Alright. I Summon Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth, in Attack Mode!

I enter my Battle Phase and declare an attack! Amber Mammoth attacks Elemental Hero Prisma!

Assuming you don't intervene, both monsters are destroyed. Amber Mammoth becomes a crystal in my Spell/Trap Zone, while Prisma is sent to the graveyard.

I'll end my turn with that.

At the end of you turn, I use my Mystical Space Typhoon, which is already facedown, to destroy the card you set; there's nothing you can do, as your turn is already done.

[roll0]

Alright, here we go. I summon another Rescue Rabbit. I banish him to get two Elemental Hero Claymen from my deck. I overlay them, summoning Daigusto Emeral from my extra deck. I detach Elemental Hero Clayman from him to summon Elemental Hero Neos from my graveyard. I detach Elemental Hero Avian from Leviathan Dragon to give him 500 more attack points. I have Daigusto Emeral destroy your facedown monster, and then Neos and Leviathan Dragon attack directly with just enough damage to end the duel.

[If this ends the duel, then sorry it went so fast :smalltongue:. This deck can pull out a lot of firepower once Prisma has had a turn or two to set up my graveyard.]

Actually, my facedown creature was Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise (DEF 2000) So you take 200 LP of damage, and you must destroy him with either No 17 or Neos, leaving me with 3000 LP.

Shadow_Elf

[Oh, nice. Alright, I'll destroy him with #17 and have Neos go direct. In my Main Phase 2, I set a new facedown. Your move.]

Your Mystical Space Typhoon destroyed my Set Crystal Beacon Spell Card, and your attack managed to change my Emerald Tortoise into a Crystal.

Grr...You're pretty good. I draw!

I activate the spell card Crystal Beacon! I Special Summon Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus in Defense Mode! Then I activate my Pegasus's effect, which lets me place Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle from my Deck into my Spell/Trap zone. Next I Set one Monster in Face-Down Defense Position and end my turn.

[Knew I was forgetting something. Note to self; include Lavalval Chain in the next edit of this deck :smalltongue:]

I detach Clayman from Emeral to get the other Clayman from my graveyard. I use Swing of Memories to recover the first Clayman. I overlay them, summoning Number 39: Utopia. I summon Elemental HERO Avian from my hand. I detach the other Avian from Leviathan Dragon, giving him 3000 attack points but costing him the ability to attack you directly. Leviathan Dragon destroys your facedown monster, Neos destroys your your Pegasus, and Utopia, Avian and Emeral go direct for 5300 damage.

Good game! Pretty nice dueling there. I got kinda RNG screwed (drew 4, 5, AND 6, didn't really need 3 Amber Mammoths) but it probably wouldn't have made much difference. Congratulations Shadow_Elf

Thanks. Now, onto the real fun part! Deck advice.

First thing I notice is this; your deck is too dedicated to your Archetype. I have a Heroes deck, as you can see, but I still included Rescue Rabbit, and staple cards like Monster Reborn, Mirror Force and Dark Hole. I recommend making the following changes to make your deck more versatile:

1) Drop all of the Topaz Tigers; if you're dead set on using Rainbow Dragon, keep one, since you can search it easily enough. Corollary; if you want to run Rainbow Dragon, run two and add in some of the cards that search it. If you're not dedicated to using it, drop it entirely.
2) Use Summoner Monk. With all those Crystal Spells, sometimes you might just want to dump one to get Pegasus out, thereby searching one of your other Crystal Beasts and getting some great deck thinning.
3) Drop some of your Archetype cards in favour of the following: Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, Bottomless Trap Hole x2, Heavy Storm, Dark Hole, Monster Reborn. This core set of staple cards should help you with staying power; a well-timed Trap Card can win a duel. Other staple cards, such as Solemn Judgment, might also make good additions, or you might replace Bottomless Trap Holes with Solemn Warnings.
4) I know you find them a bit confusing, but I find that Crystal Beasts make perfect Xyz materials (this is how I run my Crystal Beast deck). With Sapphire Pegasus to load up your backrow and Carbuncle to make them into real monsters again, you've got easy potential to get out a pack of power Rank 3 and 4 Xyz monsters in only a round or two.
5) If you don't like Xyz, try Synchro. Genex Ally Birdman can be used to bounce a Pegasus, so you can summon it again next turn for another search, and if you run the Xyz monster Leviair the Sea Dragon, you can recover banished Birdmen to Synchro even more. Other tuners you might like include Debris Dragon (summon a Ruby Carbuncle from the graveyard, and suddenly your field is swarmed with new Crystal Beasts) and T.G. Striker (which you can run with T.G. Warwolf for fun shenanigans).
6) Now that I have given you all these suggestions, don't feel obliged to use them all; it might actually water down the deck! You can experiment with different support sets while still retaining the Crystal Beast core. If you had to follow one piece of advice from here, I would say that 3 is most important.

Phew! Sorry for the big wall of text; hope this helps you improve your deck for future duels!

Also, consider Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder. He has the same Attack as Rainbow Dragon, better Defense (which does matter, especially against Book of Moon), and synergy with Emerald Tortoise.

Hey, all of those ideas are pretty solid for making a real-life deck. Thanks for the suggestions. But, no offense here, I didn't make the deck to compete with a tournament deck, just to have fun. You know?

It's like...I like to win, sure, but if I rush-Synchro or try to OTK, that means the game ended waaaay too quickly. At least with Crystal Abundance you have to take a little time to build it up.

Guess I'll make a serious deck for my next duel on Giant, though, just to make sure I don't die on the 4th turn again.

Also, consider Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder. He has the same Attack as Rainbow Dragon, better Defense (which does matter, especially against Book of Moon), and synergy with Emerald Tortoise.

Hamon is nice, sure, and the cost isn't too bad with a card like Crystal Blessing. I guess I'll add him in before my next duel.

We play a lot of fun/novelty/concept decks here on the forums, but we still try to make them viable fun decks; staple cards add consistency even when the deck is based around a novelty concept (like, say, using Normal HERO monsters to Xyz summon :smalltongue:). Even in a deck that is just meant for fun, consistency is a good thing, and some swarm or OTK combos are incredibly satisfying to pull off, so you don't have to feel you need to avoid them entirely.
