I spotted a cameo appearance of MITD in Hitmen for Destiny (http://www.webcomicsnation.com/thorsby/destiny/series.php?view=archive&chapter=44136)

Not sure if this one (http://www.webcomicsnation.com/thorsby/destiny/series.php?view=archive&chapter=26464)is a deliberate tribute, but probably.

(Not a bad comic, BTW. Worth reading. The art style takes a bit of getting used to, but it grew on me after a while. If you can get past that, a well written story)

Any others that you know about?

That and the page before have tributes to quite a few webcomics, including OotS (hint: read the signs on the wall of the town).

In the Tempts Fate #7 fundraise for goblins comic the rant golem openly says "the Order of the Stick is better" (http://www.goblinscomic.com/tempts-fate-7/) (and makes the protagonist sigh).

Also, there is a comment on OotS in the commentary to this strip (http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=796) from the DM of the rings, which is how I originally found out about OotS.

Heroes of Lesser Earth (http://www.heroesoflesserearth.com/2005/12/lena-and-i-played-world-of-warcraft-last-night-we-usually-play-once-or-twice-a-week-trying-to-get-online-when-we-have-several-hours-to-devote-to-it-yesterday-evening-we-happened-to-meet-up-with-mud/), a pretty awesome but unfortunatly ended comic, mentions OotS pretty early on. It was only because of the comments on that site that I found out about this site. I overlooked that comic as I didn't understand the references laden throughout that comic.

This guy (http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110612170840/runescape/images/archive/8/87/20110929024856!Movario.png)'s examine info on RuneScape is a reference to Vaarsuvius. Again, how I found OOTS.

Who is he?!?! He looks so familiar. I must examine him!

Movario, from While Guthix Sleeps and Ritual of the Mahjarrat.

Ah, I haven't done those yet. I'm working on them. Grandmaster quests are hard!

For anyone who hasn't seen that guy in Runescape, what is his examine info?

Nvm, I found it. "He knows a thousand arcane secrets, every one of which would drive you mad."

Well, I see Roy, Vaarsuvius, and Durkon, but not the other three?

Elan and Haley are further down (I assume - I don't know the comic) Dunno if the guy in the tree is supposed to be Belkar or not.

Thog makes an appearance (I think)

Not surprisingly, webcomics that are plain and simply inspired by The Order of the Stick have their fair share of cameos. Don't know if this count when the whole style is a tribute, though.

Anyway, let's start with the most blatant of them all: anti-HEROES

Strip #235: "We Had to Use the Joke Eventually" (http://antiheroescomic.com/comic/235)

And in the latest strip (http://antiheroescomic.com/comic/243) (as for the time of this post), look at the background character in the last panel. The author's note describe him as "Joy Redhilt" (who is still under the effect of a cursed belt of gender changing).

Another one heavily inspired by OotS: Our Little Adventure. Plenty instances, notably:

- "Thog parody" (http://danielscreations.com/ola/comics/ep0177.html)
- A female paladin gets called "Miko Miyazaki" (http://danielscreations.com/ola/comics/ep0212.html).

The nicest homage, however, certainly comes from Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Comic:

"The Fellowship of the Stick" (http://yafgc.net/?id=674)

Finally, Rusty and Co. have done a gag about the stick-figure style (http://rustyandco.com/missives/critical-missives-6/) in the intermission strips between two "levels".

That's all those I could remember on top of my head.

Not a webcomic but in the MMO Rift one of the auctioneers in Sanctum is named Elan Greenhilt.

Relevant discussion here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166660). (I leave it up to you to decide whether it's an intentional reference or not.)

Howdy, I'm the guy who draw Jack of All Blades (http://www.jackofallblades.com/), and you are right that was suppose to be Belkar in the tree. In my comics orcs are portrayed as rednecks, so the meth salesman is just a random orc, not Thog.

Not a comic, but I remembered this reference from Guild Wars and it's too good not to share from last years Chinese New Year event. There was some fortune thing you could use in the adventure areas that could give a curse or something beneficial. When cursed your screen would get hazy and your character says a bunch of random lines, one of which was, "We must prepare for the arrival of Banjo, God of Puppets!" or something to that extent.

I don't think comics that started here should be considered.
