greetings playgrounders,

I recently acquired 3 "classic" horror movies

Puppet Master
Puppet Master 2
Puppet Master 3: taloun's revenge.

the basic premise of the movie is there are these little dolls (5 of them, with a 6th added in the 2nd) that run around killing people in delightfully adorable and macabre ways.

I seek to replicate this in DND

so, the character needs to be capalbe of crafting multiple little killers and completely controlling/animating them.

here are the 6 original dolls (naturally if somebody has another ideas for the little buggers please contribute)

Tunneler - a little doll with a drillbit for a cap. he drills into people causing messy messy painful death.

Ms. Leech - a cute lil woman doll who vomits up MASSIVE leeches to drain her victims dry.

Pinhead - this doll is a massive 'thug' type guy, his hands are nearly the size of real humans. and he is completely capable of punching and strangling people as if he were a full sized human.

Blade - one of my personal favorites, he has a knife for one hand and a hook on the other.

Jester - according to the movie, he's the "brains of the bunch" but given the nature of the film, he never explicitly controls or orders the others around, but they seem to communicate psychically regardless.

and last...

Torch - a puppet with a flame cannon on his right armor, seems the most impulsively destructive of the group.... can't imagine why.

I couldn't find a picture of the whole gang that I liked.... but I did just learn that there are more of these movies.....

anyways, tl;dr - I need a character that can create and control a minimum of 6 doll serial killers.

Away from books right now, but I can make a few suggestions.
Artificer can manage this with their craft homoculus abilities. I don't believe there is a limit on the amount he can make.
Make a Wizard (or Sorcerer) and go into the Effigy Master (CAr) and potentially go into Maester (CAdv) and craft an army of effigies. The effigy template is quite versatile.

Easiest way probably is artificer making custom golems. Will probably cost a ton tho. A dread necromancer with awaken undead can get monsters with the special abilities required and just doll them up.

I'm afraid my library is incomplete :smallfrown:

I don't have access to the artificer....

so, this is a statement made in ignorance.

I don't think you can make homunculi strong enough for that....
or give them drill-bit heads.

but then again, it's the artificer, it's probably easy. :smalltongue:

Seconding Effigy Master.

Here's a doll-maker from a recent Iron Chef (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=11872339&postcount=230).

You might also consider the Summoner (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/summoner) Class from Pathfinder, specifically the Broodmaster Archetype (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/summoner/archetypes/paizo---summoner-archetypes/broodmaster).

You max out at 4 minions, but that should still be enough.
Jester doesn't really do much.
And Leech woman would be stuck pathetically stabbing things unless you can find a way to 'generate leeches'.

If you do the Broodmaster, then I say make Jester the "skill monkey" of the group, and pick your 3 favorite from the remaining 4 (ignoring Leech woman).

Blade would use his 'claws'.
Torch would need Energy Damage>Fire (breath weapon is too expensive for too few uses).
Pinhead, just pump the Str.
Tunneler... I got nothing.

There's also these two builds. While for specific characters (from the manga Naruto, they could easily be adapted.
