So apparently, there's a doctor who video game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who:_The_Adventure_Games)

Available free

to those in the UK
:smallannoyed:

and impossible to access or play outside of the UK
:smallfurious:

This to me seems mean, but maybe the game sucks.
So, interwebs, my favorite forum
A) is there any way to play this game outside of UK?

Or

B) is the game worth moving to UK in order to play, or at least a vacation (how long could the game be?)

Oh, Balls to it, my next vacation will be to UK, just to play the game.

I'm sure there ARE ways to do (A), but I'm not sure if they're legal...presumably the BBC restricts these games to free downloads to UK residents for a reason, but I don't know what that is!

I haven't actually played them myself, mind you, keep meaning to get round to it but there's always something else getting in the way. I think they're basically point-and-click adventures, too, which is not my favourite genre.

Yeah, I wanted to play these, but alas, I live in the USA. :smallfrown::smallsigh::smallannoyed:

It's most likely free in the UK because it was payed for by the TV licence and thus technically isn't free :smalltongue:
I wouldn't be suprised if you could bypass any checks it does using a proxy. Heck you could probably google for an answer.

You can still get the games outside of the UK (http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/theadventuregames/download/nonuk), they're just $5 each instead of free.

I'm sure I looked for a legal method of getting them and didn't happen across that. I must fail at internets ><
