Hallo, all!
I'm rather new to PbP, but not new at all to DMing, so I'm looking for help on how to handle a PvP or sandbox game ITP. Certainly there are easy ways to do this that don't involve huge streams of PMs, right?

I would assume just like any other pbp :smallconfused: There's an Arena game (Neverending Arena?) that runs tons of PvP combats, so you could look there for ideas. And I don't see how a sandbox would be any different from a regular game in terms of format.

If you haven't read it already, make sure to check out the Guide to Play by Post Games at the top of the Finding Players subforum -- it does a really good job of covering what you need to know about pbp.

Arranging individual IM sessions with players while they're not directly interacting with each other can be an excellent way to get things rolling quickly. When it's actually combat time, though, PMs are generally a decent way to do it.
