Lay on Hands Question

I am new to the game, have only played one game before now. I am about to play a campaign as a Paladin and was wondering, how many times can I use Lay On Hands per day? What are the modifiers if any? I looked it up on the Internet, no avail. Looked in the PHB, no details on the question.

From the SRD:

Each day she can heal a total number of hit points of damage equal to her paladin level × her Charisma bonus. A paladin may choose to divide her healing among multiple recipients, and she doesn’t have to use it all at once. Using lay on hands is a standard action.

Times per day doesn't apply. It depends on how much healing you get. Once it has all been used for the day, it's done.
