Pretty limited here.
Basically, what are some dandy things that deal damage. Things like an alchemist fire. I would also like to request a few of those thread full of item related stuff. Sure are dandy. Trapmaking somewhere too. Those threads like shopping on a budget.

Final note:
How to take on Drow properly and win? I was thinking wands of daylight, then burn them to death with something. Ideas, thoughts, etc.

Thx!

Drow are pushovers, and will fall like wheat to a scythe to anything immune to poison and with Mindsight (Freedom of Movement is nice), until you run into one of their Clerics or Wizards, which you dispatch using conventional caster-fighting tactics.

Unless we're talking basic Drow Warrior 1s or something. Then yeah, just swill an antitoxin, then daylight + sword.

Drow have SR, which is annoying. SR in the hands of a player tends to be pitifully weak and underrated. SR in the hands of a DM who doesn't have to worry about silly things like Level Adjustment, its another afair altogether. Its entirely possible to face a CR appropriate drow opponent who has a 55-60% chance to ignore your swag. Depending on the level, having Assay Spell Resistance or similar boosts isn't really a readily available option. The best thing is simply not to use spells that allow SR. Given their medium size, Evard's Black Tentacles of Forced Intrusion are pretty beastly against them, Glitterdust is its usual awesome-sause self, and even Grease could be useful since most NPCs still don't have ranks in balance even if they have above average Dex scores.

Other than that, try not to get ambushed (easier said than done), try not to get flanked or pincered, and make sure you have some sort of way to deal with the poison. Heroes Feast helps, if you have one of those magic horns that conjours up one.

Drow are +1cr and -2con, so they would be quite fragile compared to monsters of equivalent cr. So just whack them. :smallamused:

Talk to Shax (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148101). There are several gems in the Type I, such as: aboleth mucus, chaos flasks, eggshell grenades, and shapesand. If you can't afford glitterdust yet, stock up on torch bug paste (nonmagical faerie fire effect, negates most concealment except magical darkness).

Alchemical Sun Flash (Expedition to Castle Ravenloft) sounds perfect for what you want to do, but 50 GP for what is essentially alchemist's fire plus a dazzle effect is... kinda lackluster. Aboleth mucus (save or suffocate, i.e., save or die) and eggshell grenades (ranged touch attack to blind, no save) are cheaper.

SR is usually trumped buy conjurations: glitterdust, cloud of bewilderment, Kelgore's grave mist, stinking cloud, Evard's hentai collection, orbs of whatever. Daltim's fiery tentacles (Shining South) is one of my favorites: all the tentacle-porn jokes you expect from Evard, plus they're *on fire*.

I don't think you understand how amazing this is. Can I sig this?

Also true, but in my experience they're glass cannons of sorts. Your average Tanky McTankenstein will fall rather quickly, even with poison immunity.

Sure, go ahead. Soon I'll take over the forum, one sig at a time!

In that case bring orbs if you are a spell caster! Or some well disguised undead!
