Can people point me to some classes that operate on SLA's as their main trick. I would like base classes but PRCs would be more then welcome.

there's the warlock from complete arcane and the dragonfire adept from dragon magic. (i highly reccomend you read the dragonfire adept handbook, its a great read).

- Incarnum abilities (i.e. those granted by Soulmelds) are treated as SLAs by default as well.
- Truenaming Utterances are SLAs.
- A Shadowcaster's Mysteries go through three stages (from spells -> SLAs -> Su.)
- All Psionics are PLAs.

Every PrC in Dragonmarked, revolves around the SLAs provided by your Dragonmarks (about half of them are good, the other half are not worth your levels).

Factotums can be built to abuse their Arcane Dilettante class feature. It take a while to get the build into gear though (somewhere around 5th level is when it really takes off).

There are a lot of PrC out there that have one or two amazing SLA's. People tend to overlook them because they're weaker then full casters and/or because of their limited use. But they're a great option for NPCs, or for new-ish players who want to dabble in magic without pouring through spell lists.

A good example is the Fang of Sseth from Serpent Kingdoms. It's your basically Rogue PrC - Sneak Attack, Spider Climb, Poison Use, Snatch Arrows - yawn. But the 8th level ability gives you the Favor of Sseth ability. It's Greater Invisibility + 5 ft Silence (which also prevents casting) + ability to hide from Scent, with a duration of 8 hours and the ability to end it as a free action. Since it's a spell like ability, it's usable at will. At 3rd level you also gain the ability to Polymorph into a Medium viper at will, which is useful for entry into Warshaper.

If your can choose from Homebrew you can look over some Invoking classes like the Channeler (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196557&highlight=invoker), Soul Invoker (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222862&highlight=invoker), Invoker (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153863&highlight=invoker), Invoker (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=150296&highlight=invoker) or the Ebon Initiate (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163297&highlight=ebon+initiate). I also believe there is an invoker version of the druid floating around somewhere.

What the heck, I'll go ahead and self promote. check the Servitor in my sig
