The Pathfinder Chronicler seems like fun. I like the Deep Pockets feature, and Bardic Knowledge is always fun.
Since it doesn't advance spellcasting, I was thinking of going Rogue to Pathfinder Chronicler. In specific, Charlatan (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/rogue/archetypes/paizo---rogue-archetypes/charlatan). The concept is a bit of a skill monkey, an intelligence based ranged fighter when necessary, but mostly helpful out of combat.
With 25 point buy:
Str 10
Dex 14
Con 10
Wis 10
Int 16
Cha 16
Race Considerations:
Halfling: Bonus to Dex and Cha are both nice, can grab Swift as Shadows instead of Sure Footed and improve both sniping and moving while hidden.
Human: Bonus to Cha, a bonus feat, and more skill points. Yay Skill points.
Trait Considerations:
Classically Schooled (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits/magic-traits/classically-schooled): Neither class gets Spellcraft as a class skill, so this would essentially provide a +4 bonus.
Magical Knack (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits/magic-traits/magical-knack): I could have a caster level of 2. I think this would qualify me for Scribe Scroll, which I'd only use to grab Cypher Magic (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/cypher-magic)
Rogue Talents:
Black Market Connections (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/rogue/rogue-talents/paizo---rogue-talents/black-market-connections-ex)
Guileful Polyglot (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/rogue/rogue-talents/paizo---rogue-talents/guileful-polyglot-ex)
Feat Considerations:
Skill Focus (Disguise): Opens up Eldritch Heritage (Rakshasa), providing Silver tongue.
Eldritch Heritage (Rakshasa): For Silver Tongue
Scribe Scroll: Just to open up Cypher Magic
Cypher Magic: Because deep pockets can be used to pull up just the exact scroll you need for a situation (provided it isn't too expensive).
Well Prepared (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/well-prepared): This just fits nicely with Deep Pockets. Just a character that has absolutely everything on hand seems fun.
Kirin Style: Is a prerequisite for Kirin Strike
Kirin Strike (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/kirin-strike-combat): Allows twice the intelligence modifier in damage.
Precise Shot: Opens up Focused Shot
Focused Shot (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/focused-shot-combat): Intelligence bonus to damage.
