Mind Mage playability

I know that most of the stuff from the magazine tends to be an extreme of either "no good" or "too good", but has anyone played the Mind Mage PRC from dragon 313?

Is it functionally playable, too much, or too little?

This is the Psionic/Casting theurge, right?

IIRC it's pretty thoroughly broken, getting better metamagic reduction than anything else out there and being able to mix mechanics that really don't make sense being mixed.

Stuff like the Mind Mage is why Dragon Magazine is known as Obscure and Broken, rather than just Obscure.

I would refuse to take part in a party where someone was a mind mage. (Unless it was a crazy high op game)

Just play a cerebremancer. Same basic effect, no lol-brokenry.
