The last thing you remembered was walking through the forest. You had been tasked by the Lady Shandria to deliver a missive to her aunt, the Archfey Queen Tiandra. You had come from Astrazalian and were making your way to the Summer Queen's demesne of Senaliesse. Then there was a buzzing, and then darkness.
Looking around you see that you are in some sort of underground holding cell. The earthen walls show no windows or opening, and the iron bars in front of you reveal only a small door built into them. A bracket on the wall outside of your cell holds a torch, providing light for you to see by.
Your consciousness has returned enough that you are aware of your companions in the cell with you. A thought occurs to you, What an odd group - an undead tree spirit, a fey noble, a human wanderer and a child of the forest with her pet beast. A shuffling sound catches your attention and you look out of the cell to see a small creature - How ugly - rummaging through your belongings.
"Girbolg knows it is in here. Yes, Girbolg saw the letter before. Saw the nasty elf leader hand it to them... yes, Girbolg watches and Girbolg sees..." Finishing with one pack, the creature - a gremlin, you think - picks up the next and overturns it, spilling the contents on the floor.
"Aha! Girbolg knew it was here!" the being shouts in triumph, holding a rolled parchment in his hands. "Girbolg must get this to his master!" Turning, he notices that you are awake. "Heeheehee! Girbolg tricked you! Now the nasty creatures have failed in their tasks, and Girbolg has succeeded in his! Heeheehee!" Turning, the gremlin skips out of the room.
Dazedly, you realize that the creature must have been after the missive. You have to get it back!
OOC
You are all - three humanoids, a pixie, and a displacer beast - stuck in a small cage underground. The room only about 20x20 feet, with the bars cutting the room in half. All of your possessions are on the other side of the door, as well as the key to your cell. None of you are chained, though Forsythia has been placed in a globe of some sort, with no apparent way to release her (or at least, none that your passive perception will reveal :smalltongue:).
Forsythia and Shaeana
You can both sense that there are some magical effects in this room
Vilkas
The bars on the cage look fairly old and rusted in some places, and might be (relatively) easy enough to break.
