Inquiries Part 1

So I've decided to take the time to come to you guys any and everytime I have a question concerning the rules in 3.5. I may continue threads like this and generally I'll try to keep a consistant number system.

1.) When wearing a mithral piece of medium armor does it count against a ranger's ability to use his combat style? Mithral is said to treat medium armor as light armor, so does that mean he can use said feats? Would he take the armor check penalty for not being proficient in medium armor?

... I'll be back when I have more questions, I just can't think of any more while I'm at school.

The typical way questions are asked on this forum is that you make a thread for a question (or for a bunch of closely related questions). Making a thread for "all my questions" is not how it's generally (read: ever that I can remember) done on these forums.

However yes, it would allow you to use your ranger abilities.

Mithril makes it treated as one armour class lower, and thus light armor.

Mithril breastplates are nice.
