It's time to suggest names for the new book. Don't shoot down other peoples names. That's rude. I'd start, but I'm not funny.

Slthough it'd potentially give too much away, I thought someone's suggestion (can't remember who) of 'Tyrinarian Nights' was pretty funny.

Some sort of pun based on Desert, e.g. "Don't Desert The Party". Hmmm, that's probably too much like the last one.

I bet we could run with that. Don't Split the Party. Don't Desert the Party. When we get to Dwarven Lands, Don't Dwarf the Party. In the final battle against Xykon, Don't Burn the Party (with meteor swarm or whatever). Don't Flip the Party (y'know, when we go to the world in the rift and everything is like, the inverse of the regular world).

Now you know why I said not to shoot down other peoples book ideas. It was entirely for my own sake.

Order on the Run

Go with the song name influence again and makes a sideways reference to the first line of the third verse of the song in question.

I don't understand the reference, but I can tell it's very funny.

A blood-related pun, considering how this book has been about 3 bloodlines (Elan's family, Starshines, Draketooths) and the Empire of Blood. I'm partial to Blood, Sweat, and Tiers.

I was also thinking Desert Crawlin' Fools or Sprawlin' Desert Fools would make for a nice Round 1 title.

Band on the Run (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Band_on_the_Run_(song)) by Paul McCartney

The third verse starts out, “Well, the night was falling as the desert world began to settle down.”

Yes. That's the joke.:smallconfused:

I would go with a blood/lineage pun, but since most of the book titles were less "details" and more "The title tells the basic of the story on its lonesome", A desert lyric seems more likely.

Family Ties.

Rich did watch Television in the eighties/nineties when ever that sit com came out.

You meet Elans father Haley's father and uncles allusions to an aunt.

Because I'm on a 40K fan-streak: 'Blood for the Blood Throne'

'Bard-Emperor'

'The Pair Annoy ya'' *

---

*Almost everyone in this arc has so far either suspected someone of some massive interconnected Xanatos/Batman Gambit, or attempted to implement one themselves. In addition, you'll find that the different characters are usually in pairs: Belkar and Roy, Durkon and Malack, V and Haley, Haley and Elan, Elan and Tarquin, The bounty hunters, etc etc... even Tarquin's party splits into pairs for their multinational conspiracy.

The Mommy, because it's like the Mummy which also took place in the desert and it's about one of the main characters getting close to their parent. But wait, it's their daddy. The Dummy instead?

That would be just listing the kingdoms under Tarquin's command, no punniness there.

That is a pretty good one. You've got my vote. (If voting really mattered, and if the Giant ever actually reads this thread)

(If voting really mattered, and if the Giant ever actually reads this thread)

It would not supprise me if he reads most of the posts, including this one. True, voting for the favorite will make no difference. I'm sure the Giant already has a name for the book. I just think it's a fun idea.

But, if there is a title that is so made of awesome that even he says "wow, I think I have to go with that instead of my already totaly awesome title!" How sweet would that be!

Which is why I will add my two copper to this thread, just on the off chance that something here catches his fancy...

On that note, I came up with some more:

Penitents, Prodigies and Peremptoriness

Midnight in the empire of tyranny and oppression

The Devil wears plate mail

Except that it's already a pun on Winston Churchill's first WWII speech as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Which is good, since his name is likely to be better than anything we'd be able to come up with anyway.

Assuming Tarquin gets his at the end of the story arc (which I don't think, but still), I'd like to suggest "Just Deserts" ;)
