Adblock Plus: My filters are vanished

So I just noticed that Adblock Plus is not working on my computer. It says that it's enabled and everything. I think that this happened sometime yesterday, since I seem to recall spotting an ad yesterday. I have no idea why it happened.

In my search to determine what was wrong, on a hunch I checked the preferences section. And that's where I discovered the problem. All my filters are gone. Every last one. In other words, adblock plus is running without blocking anything because it doesn't have anything to judge what to block. I haven't touched the filters since I had Firefox 3, so I don't even remember how to make the filters anymore, which means unless I get a little help in setting up at least some basic filters, I'm stuck blocking every ad I see individually until all the sites I commonly visit no longer show me ads.

Anyone have explanation and/or help to offer me?

The filter subscriptions Adblock offers in the preferences section are not to your tastes?

I think all you need to do is resubcribe to the filter lists. In order to do that just go to this site (http://adblockplus.org/en/subscriptions) and click the link next to "subscribe" for whatever filter lists you like, I think I'm using Easy and Fanboy's.
