[Pathfinder] wordspell: Force Shield... armor bonus?

Am I missing something? Is there any reason why the Force Shield wordspell provides an armor bonus to AC rather than shield bonus?

Because wordcasting is poorly supported and incomplete. Last I checked, there was no way to get a shield bonus. Either homebrew it or don't bother with wordcasting, as I wouldn't expect any fixes or additions to the system. Cool idea, but I just don't think it went far enough and was not thorough enough.

If you have homebrew open to you, you can generally reverse engineer effect words from normal arcane spells from the wiz/sorc list by taking the spell level and reducing it based on targets and duration, or what have you.
