Archery Build that uses Firearms?

I've noted that in the past archery builds were pretty much impossible in 3.5 while using guns or crossbows. I'm just curious if a competent ranged combatant can be made using firearms in regular 3.5.

If absolute worst comes to absolute worst, you could reflavor 'bows' as 'rifles' and 'arrows' as 'bullets.' :smalltongue:

That could actually be pretty funny, like one of those whose line episodes where they have to keep remembering to replace words/letters. "I notch an a- bullet (...:smallannoyed:) to my rifle threateningly"
