You know how it is when you make a templated creature for your group to fight, and not only do you spend time making its stat block but you also draw a picture so that they see what it actually looks like?
Then eight rounds later its dead.

Was a doodle then I later ended up lazily drinking coffee and continuing to ink it in the other afternoon.

Here's another guy, an NPC. The reason I drew this picture was so that the players would have a chance to notice that he had an odd number of fingers on one hand without me expressly saying so. However, it turned out that the plot arc went in a different direction and they never met this guy. Maybe later.

Sorry he doesn't fit the theme of half + half template creature. I thought I had more of those kicking around but I guess we'll have to wait until next time I need to draw one.

Actually... that avatar looks really familiar, I can't quite place it right now though. I have an inkling though... you didn't make a tutorial for GIMP Painter once, did you, begooler?
It's going to drive me mad until I have the online time to track you down or it pops back in my head where I've seen it before. "LOL"

PS: Not an RPG, but this pretty much happened to me with the now defunct GitP Round Robin comic and the Qilinculous (although my art is not quite as polished as yours!). I had designed very similar creatures before though so it wasn't a huuuuge loss. :smalltongue:

No I haven't made any tutorials, you've probably just seen it on some other board on this forum, or maybe something that happened to be similar.
The avatar I made in Inkscape a few weeks after I joined here, for the sake of having a custom one.
