So, today I turned on the radio and much to my surprise I heard that Kim Jong Il the North Korean dictator (http://edition.cnn.com/2011/12/18/world/asia/north-korea-leader-dead/index.html) just died!
This rather surprised me and strikes me as a bit sudden.
Does anyone else have thoughts/opinions on this matter?

try not to get in the politics of it guys I don't particularly want this thread locked

Hmm.....

How exactly do you want this not to be political?

What are we are supposed to talk about, if he had eaten well and exercised enough?

Even with level of actual information that is able to sink from Korea, we know he was very ill, looked like damn living corpse, so it doesn't strike me as sudden at all.

Indeed. Much of the man's legacy was inherently political and in a very negative sense. All I can say is that the situation in NE Asia will bear watching, to see if the son is like the father.

This subject is inherently political, so there's no way it can be discussed within the forum rules.
