Hello playground, I am making a low level wizard and was just looking for some input starting level is 5 going to 15 ish, I would very much like to keep the build within RAI, and without alot of cheese (after Incantrix my DM could use a break)

Race- Dragonborn Grey Elf

Conjuror 5 Mage of the Arcane Order X? Then what?

Feats-
1. Sudden Widen
3. Cooperative Spell
6. Sculpt Spell
9. SF (Conj)?

But standard WBL, and are their any ACF I should take?
I would like to get focused specialist, but I dont think my DM will allow it? any ideas on how to convince him?

Immediate Magic (Abrupt Jaunt) is pretty slick, trades out your familiar for an immediate action close range teleport - meaning that you can teleport out of the way of enemy reach when they try and attack you.

I'd also go for Focused Specialist Conjurer, going for Abrupt Jaunt, and make sure to get Cloudy Conjuration! That way, even a use of a "Caltrops" cantrip is useful battlefield control..

I would skip sudden widen for either extend or quicken. Since you are going all the way to 5, I like the Domain Power ACF from CC. There are some nice domain powers for a Wizard. Travel, Inquisition, and Pride all come to mind. Trading Scribe Scroll for Improved Initiative is decent if you are trying to get the BFC down before the rest of your party engages. Definitely get Abrupt Jaunt if at all possible.

If you are going to MotAO7 for full spellpool, then I suggest going all the way to 9 for the extra metamagic feat.

Metamagic School Focus is one of the best balanced reducers, and I recommend it heartily for any specialist who relies on metamagic.

For Focused Specialist, emphasize the limited versatility -- maybe discuss which schools he thinks would be a good trade out.

Personally, if you are going Wizard 5, than Spontaneous Divination is awesome...

And trade out Evocation, Necromancy, Enchantment..

Seconded. And thirded. Spontaneous Divination means the ability to cast any divination spell in your spellbook without ever having to prep a slot for it again.

(Some people will read it as any divination spell of any class regardless of whether its in your book or not, but I doubt very much that's RoI.)

As a bonus, you can pick up 1 or two levels of Divine Oracle by burning a feat, and then you get to add the Oracle Domain to your list. Spontaneous Augury and Divination are real life savers sometimes.

Actually it was any divination spell ever but was changed to spells you know by errata.

Nobody I knew would have played it otherwise, even before the errata.
