Let's forget those "favorite character" threads. What was you favorite party you were in OR DM'd? Race/Class/AL for everyone and a few interesting stories

A CN Xeph Soulknife/Pyrokineticist
A NG Dromite Wilder <-- My avatar
A CN Elf Wizard who always forgot he had magic
A CN Elf Necromancer (Specialist Wizard) who was working to overthrow his king
A NG Half-Elf Druid
A CG Dwarf Barbarian, stats 18/10/10/12/12/4, flaws Ginger and ADHD (homwbrew off dandwiki), knew three languages, and we explained the 4 Cha by saying he only wore animal pelts and had a thick accent

Fun memories:
Most of the party didn't want to make backstories, so the DM gave them amnesia
I learned it is difficult to DM and play at the same time
We Jedi mindtricked (bluff) the town council
I had fun with the fact that dromites are genderless and had mine be raised as a girl

I first started playing D&D in middle school, not long after 3rd ed came out. My best friend, my cousin, two other friends and I all made characters and played with each other. My best friend and I were DMs more often than the others, and we played the same characters no matter who was DMing, so we all ended up DMing for the party. We used homebrew worlds that were mostly undetailed, so canon was never a problem.

My character was Vincent Casimar, a CG human fighter/weapon master (whirlwind attack and bastard sword. yup.) - was very similar fluffwise to a stock warblade focusing in diamond mind and iron heart, even being trained by brutal hobgoblins before escaping to live with elves, and even having a lightning based sword.

Best friend was Kanok (I think a combination of Conan and Turok), a CN/G Half-orc barbarian who could never really decide between a greataxe, greatsword, and orc double axe (I let him change it over time while DMing).

Cousin was Jaer, a CG elf fighter/wizard/arcane archer.

Other friends were Alaken, a war axe using dwarf fighter/defender, and Aran Linvail (shamelessly stolen), a CN half elf sorcerer with a scythe (he rarely played with us).

Years later, another older friend of mine joined in to play Sai, a human monk who focused on running speed and number of attacks.

So basically, we were "The Warriors".

We didn't really understand the mechanics of the game, so, we never used power attack or combat expertise (even if we had the feats), the archer never used rapid shot, combat maneuvers, etc. We grew up on video games like final fantasy and pokemon where you (mostly) just attack, so we really didn't know what the hell we were doing.

Still though, it was fun. I don't think I've ever had as much fun as the time Vincent and Alaken fought a black dragon in a cave after treking through a shadow themed forest to get to its mountain (who didn't use spell like abilities or tactics, just charged and attacked).
