What feats and such make a barbarian have powerful ranged attack? I remember that there was a ranged power attack feat some were but I couldn't find it. Would ranged power attack even be useful since I can't shock trooper?

Pathfinder gives us Deadly Aim (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/deadly-aim-combat) which is exactly the PF Power Attack in ranged form. Go Urban Barbarian (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/barbarian/archetypes/paizo---barbarian-archetypes/urban-barbarian) and you can choose to rage to increase your Dexterity.
Thrown weapons would be viable in PF and 3.5

 I found the 3.5 version of that feat. Its in compleat adventurer call power throw. It only works with thrown weapons though.

Whirling Frenzy (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/classFeatureVariants.htm#rageVariantWhirlingFrenzy ) gives you an extra attack per round.
For ridiculous ranged damage with thrown object, prestige Hulking Hurler from Complete Warrior. :smallamused:

Whirling Frenzy + Bloodstorm Blade 4. Lots of melee attacks, at range.

In dragon 330 There is a barbarian varient "implacable" That turns your rage from boosting str and con to dex and con (and gives you some DR but you lose fast movement).
This could be useful.
