Pathfinder blasting

Is there any way to do blasting in Pathfinder without being mediocre?

Edit: I'm aware of the Words of Power system. It doesn't really seem to be enough.

Pathfinder Psionics (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed) available? Wilders and Psions are both great blasters.

Depends on your group. A Halfling Rogue/Sorcerer Crossblodded Primal/Dragon bloodline (+2 on each die of your chosen element, including sneak attack), and with Magical Knack (+2 CL as long as it doesn't exceed your HD) and Magical Lineage (-1 for final adjusted spell level) traits could do some pretty skookum damage with their chosen element in my opinion in a fair to middling optimization group.

Should probably mention before more comments start rolling in: Blasting is inherently a mediocre option. There is much less support for blasting in Pathfinder, though; Sorcerer would probably be the best way to go in core-only.
