I have a rogue and ranger in my group. The rogue will someday want to go invisible blade, and the ranger is using the two-weapon master prestige class (homebrew one).

Both mention having to defeat a certain type of enemy.

The homebrew doesn't state if it has be to 1 vs 1, but I'm going to rule that it has to be. Like the invisible blade.

With that said, what constitutes a worthy opponent? Is it just based on CR rating? It doesn't really delve much into it. :smallsigh:

I think it's bit about cr, bit about roleplay, and bit about prestige.

Some people allow filling undefined prequisites in backround, assuming that you fill them while you take the first level.

I'd suggest you create dragon (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheDragon)-type foe who has challenge rating two above the player's level, and possibly few more hit dice as well (so the fight doesn't end too soon). He should be quite tought, and force players to spent their resources, so that defeating him feels like an accomplishment.
