(PF)I Would Like Some Magus Opinions

The topic I wana focus on is archetypes.
In particular the Kensai. Is it worth it?
I plan on making a dervish build and taking the bladebound archetype (scimitar). Do you think I would benefit from a scimitar wielding Kensai archetype or should I just stick with the base class? I cant choose which one is better.

The diminished spellcasting and loss of spell recall isn't worth it. You could survive the lost spells, but losing the endurance and flexibility granted by spell recall kills the UC archetypes.

It depends on whether you care more about beating things up or casting. The Kensai does lose spell recall which is rather big. This can partially fixed by using the money you would have spent on armor on pearls. I do rather like the Kensai personally.

Ignore Kensai. It isn't worth what you lose; spells are the Magus' main strength, and losing spell recall hurts that more than you would think.
