Due to their essential existence Skadu do not have separate physical and mental abilities. Thus, at each age category, they just choose 3 abilities to subtract 1 from and 3 to increase by 1. The exception is constitution: it cannot be increased.

Height/Weight: Skadu are 5 feet tall on average, and 30% lighter than an average human of the same size.

Skadu are truly sad beings. Made of solid shadow and arcane energy, they are soul and body combined into a single entity, much like outsiders. Unlike outsiders, though, Skadu actually grow old and die, so their perishing is imminent. Most Skadu live a lonely existence of nostalgia and regret, as their lives are extremely long, yes - but the only ones they will experience. Also, due to their shadowy nature they need darkness to manifest fully, which prevents them from interacting a lot with other races.

Names: Skadu have extremely long yet singular names, as genealogy and inheritance are meaningless to them. They also usually begin in a consonant and end in a vowel and are rather rhythmic. Example: Schretyedritie.

Appearance: Skadu are humanoid in appearance, when they have an appearance at all. They can meld their features until they look like faceless mannequins, or appear completely humanoid, aside from a deep gray color. However, unlike normal shadows and shades, they can't become transparent.

Racial Features:

+2 Dex, +2 Con, -2 Int, -2 Str
Skadu can control the shadows which make up their joints, moving with incredible speed. This control of their inner anatomy also grants them a higher constitution, but means they must be self aware at all times, which strains their intellect. Also, not having proper muscles, their strength is sub-par.

S Qualities:

Unified Body and Soul: Skadu perish when they die, as they lack a proper soul. Moreover, they add their con mod to Will saves (whether their con is positive or negative).

Quintessence: At character creation, choose an ability score (except constitution). You cannot take ability damage or drain to that ability score.

Shadow Traits: As part-shadow, Skadu have a +2 racial bonus to Listen, Search and Spot checks while in total darkness. Also, when hit by a critical hit or sneak attack, they can roll 1d4 and ignore the damage if it falls on 4. Finally, they are immune to paralysis and effects that impede movement, except for difficult terrain itself and grapples. Lastly, they are always stable while in negative hit points.

Reversed-light Vision: Unlike most creatures, Skadu have normal line of sight in total darkness and dim light, and see only 90 feet in bright sunlight.

Averse to Energy: Skadu receive damage instead of healing from positive energy, and healing instead of damage from negative energy.

S Abilities:

Sharp Turn (Ex): While charging, Skadu can change direction once.

Shadow Ammunition (Su): Skadu can create arrows, bolts and bullets from themselves when shooting ranged weapons. They can use ranged weapons without expending any projectiles (thrown weapons excluded), but damage dealt this way is halved.

Shadow Flow (Su): Skadu can gain total concealment as a free action at will. However, if they, under their Shadow Flow form, attack with a melee weapon, punch or run, they lose it and cannot use it for five minutes.

Shade Catabolism (Ex): Skadu can isolate various physical or mental ailments within themselves in a small portion of their being and remove them. This ability is a free action that can be used once per round. By reducing their hit points by an amount equal to their maximum/4, they can get rid of any of the following temporary status effects (and all of them at the same time): Ability Damage, Ability Drain, Blinded, Confused, Cowering, Dazed, Dazzled, Deafened, Disabled, Energy Drained, Exhausted, Fascinated, Fatigued, Frightened, Nauseated, Panicked, Petrified, Shaken, Sickened, Staggered, Stunned, Unconscious. If the effects are permanent instead of temporary, a Skadu can still get rid of them, but his hit points will drop to -9.

Religion: None. No religion could help the Skadu's condition.

Look cool so far, what i'm taking from the combined soul and body thing is that once they die they pretty much just fade into oblivion with no afterlife or reincarnaition, is that right? May want to write that in somewere perhaps.

It's written right there at Unified Body and Soul, at Special Traits.

Also, the LA is ? because I don't know what it should be. Suggestions?
