Here's a question I can't seem to find a ruling on. Say an Erudite wants to learn Evade Burst, finds a Psychic Warrior who's willing to help him out, and pops into his mind to learn the power. Does he learn it at the Psychic Warriors capacity (5pp for a 3rd level power) or does it translate over to the Psion List because of the redundancy (13pp for a 7th level power)?

Obviously one way is far more cheesy than the other, but is there anything in RAW that limits this?

erudites can't generally learn psywar powers. they aren't discipline powers.

Erudites can't learn Psychic Warrior powers. If an Erudite learned a power shared by both classes, he'd learn it as the Psion power, because those are the only powers he can manifest.

To take an exclusive Psychic Warrior power, you need Expanded Knowledge.

He can learn them these ways:

*With Expanded Knowledge
*By Researching Them
*If he took them off a Psion with access to them via Expanded Knowledge
*If a Telepath with them somehow (Expanded Knowledge or levels in Psychic Warrior) gives them to him via Psychic Chirurgery
*UPDing Items that have the powers
*There is a trick with Expanded Knowledge and Psychic Reformation: Use Expanded Knowledge to grab it, which puts it on your class list, then amke a power stone, then Psychic Reformation the feat out to a different power you want, and learn it from the stone.

You are aware his power-learning mechanic specifically states that if the power isn't on the Psion power list, or any Discipline list, he cannot learn it, right? He can't take it from a Psion who learned it with a feat.

The thing is, most of those methods actually add it to the Psion list... anything that implies the use of Expanded Knowledge somewhere actually adds it to the Psion list... If you research them, you are researching a Psion version of that power... if a Telepath has them, he has them via EK, which makes them Psion Powers... if you grant them to yourself via Expanded Knowledge, it becomes a Psion power...

What? Expanded Knowledge doesn't add the power to your class list. It just adds it to your powers known.

What? Expanded Knowledge doesn't add the power to your class list. It just adds it to your powers known. They're on your class list for you. Otherwise you couldn't use a power stone or a dorje of that power, even if you made it.
