sor/wiz and bard 2 transmutation (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=dnd/sb/sb20010126a), which, for 1 round/level, allows free action touch attacks with a weapon to daze, on any round it's used for melee. there seems to be no save against this effect.

so, we could reach + persist this thing, bringing its duration way up.

anything else we can do with this?

hm, are there weapons that don't take an actions to attack with?

hm, maybe an excuse for TWF?

Use it on a Whip Dagger, for 15ft of reach? If you are using Reach Spell anyway, how about Chaining it too? Fun for the whole party.

That looks a lot like Bladeweave, which appears in SpC and CAdv. Is that spell the 3.0 version? In which case Bladeweave would be the updated version. A decent spell, but it does have a save and is mind-affecting, so it will get outclassed as you level.

It's not in the SpC's list of renamed spells

Braid Blades from some Dragon Magazine article are a free action to attack with as part of a full attack if one has somewhere between 2 and 5 ranks in Tumble.

That is only true if they keep the same name, otherwise there has to be a statement that this is the update, and:

It's not in the SpC's list of renamed spells
