The Spirit Blade

Spirit Blades are like soulknives except they were made by NeoSeraphi instead of WotC.

Class Features: The following are the class features of the spirit blade.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Spirit Blades gain no additional proficiencies.

Bonus Racial Feat (Ex): At every odd level, a spirit blade gains a Zshar racial feat as a bonus feat. He must meet all the prerequisites for that feat.

Resin Crafting (Ex): A spirit blade makes his own weapons, and they are awesome. When a spirit blade crafts a weapon out of clay resin while he is psionically focused, he may choose to expend 7 power points. If he does so, he may choose to make the material chosen by the Material Emulation or Advanced Material Emulation feat a permanent effect. As long as the weapon is outside of an antipsionic field, it is treated as if it were crafted of the chosen material even while the zshar is not psionically focused or while someone else is holding it.

Resin Alchemy (Ex): Starting at 2nd level, a spirit blade with the Alchemical Prestidigitation feat can make a Craft (Alchemy) check in order to create one of his chosen abilities as an alchemical substance that may be placed in a vial and be sold or used by others. The market price of each substance (for the purposes of both Craft DCs/time/cost and the amount of money the spirit blade can sell it for) is 3000 gp.

Creating a burst item requires expending a number of power points, but those power points determine the power of the item later and do not require the user to expend any power points. The burst items are treated as flasks of alchemist's fire for the purposes of being used in combat, except their range expands to 30 feet. The splash damage from a burst weapon is equal to the amount of damage that the flask deals (1d6 plus 1d6 per power point)

Clays are like oils, and once applied to a weapon or armor they last for one hour.

True Webbing is like a tanglefoot bag with a range of 30 feet.

Advanced Resin Crafting (Su): Starting at third level, when crafting a weapon of masterwork quality using his resin as a crafting material, the spirit blade may expend 10 power points and 1000 extra gp to give his weapon a +1 enhancement bonus to attack and damage rolls, and to have it be treated as a magical weapon for the purposes of being enchanted and overcoming damage reduction. Advanced Resin Crafting does not require the spirit blade to have the Craft Magical Arms and Armor feat.

Sword of the Psionic Artificer (Su): Starting at 4th level, while a spirit blade is holding a weapon with at least a +1 enhancement bonus that he has crafted himself out of his resin, if he is psionically focused, he may expend a number of power points to grant his weapon an enhancement bonus ability as long as he is psionically focused. The spirit blade may only have one such ability on his weapon at a time, but he may change it to another ability with an enhancement bonus equal to or less than the amount he paid for as a swift action (like changing holy to unholy) Alternatively, he may increase his enhancement bonus by an amount up to +5, which costs him 7 power points.

Superior Material Emulation (Su): Starting at 5th level, once per week, a spirit blade may choose a magic item, and may pay the required XP and gp cost, and craft it out of clay resin. He must retain his psionic focus for the duration of the crafting. He need not meet the prerequisites of the item, as long as his total character level is equal to or exceeds the minimum caster level required to create the item. (For example, a zshar rogue 7/spirit blade 5 could pay 12,500 gp and 1000 xp to craft a ring of evasion, despite not having a caster level, the Forge Ring feat, or the ability to cast the jump spell)

A spirit blade may not use Superior Material Emulation to emulate a specific racial or alignment requirement.

Hm, not quite what i was going for. Though the Resin Crafting, Advanced Resin Crafting, and Sword of the Psionic Artificer are very good and fit perfectly with the idea i originally had.

Also, they should need Craft (Sculpting) not Craft (Weaponsmithing). Clay resin is shaped by sculpting it like actual clay, even for making weapons.

Overall, though, i like it.
