View Full Version : link to the newest comic

Hi,
Is there a way to link directly to the newest comic? My current link is to cartoon 606 (my all time fav) and then I hit the double arrow button to the newest. Is there a way to do this in one (obsessive, oft-repeated-per-day) click rather than in two?
Thanks,
BHD

This will do the trick
http://www.giantitp.com/comics/ootslatest.html
You probably will have to edit the properties of your link with that url.

I think I should expand on what I said above.
The url I gave always forwards you to the current strip. So if you go there and create a shortcut, it will create one to whatever that current strip is, which will stop being the current strip as soon as a new one is posted. In order to get the shortcut you want, you have to modify the properties of the shortcut by replacing its url with the one I gave above. You can do this by right-clicking the shortcut and selecting properties. You should be able to do the replacement there (at least I think this works in pretty much all browsers).

Or you could link to the archive (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots.html), and you'll always see at the top if a new comic has been posted. Still takes another click to get to the new comic.

One for the FAQ. This is asked every couple of months.
There is a link at the bottom of every page called "Latest Comic" too.
