I've searched through the three pages of topics and I couldn't find anything like this, so hopefully this isn't repeating another (recent) thread. If it's against the rules for some other reason, sorry .

This is a thread to discuss what you think have been some of the pivotal, most awesome, funny, badass, cool, significant, moving, suprising, etc, etc, moments of the comic so far.

And yes, the name is stolen from TVTropes (I've never dedicated the many, many hours that would be needed to read through TVTropes' lists of crowning OotS moments, so any repetition is as unintentional as it is irrelevant).

For example, I've always thought the second-last box in this strip (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0692.html) is a wonderfully understated crowning moment of romance, and the tenth box here (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0670.html) is one of the entire comic's best crowning moments of badass :smallamused:.

So... discuss!

The same panel for badass and romance?

And apparently, this awesome expression of romantic badass is

Never mind, while typing that bad joke I saw the romance, but I think you meant a different strip for the badass (Unless Durkon walking off with his darkvision on is badass)

I am now off to find this strip where the tenth panel is full of badass.

That whole arc was one long crowning moment for the comic. It's not neccesarily my favourite part, but whenever I try and think of something that makes this comic 'better' than all of the others out there, this is what I think of.

Oh, and I think we'll need a full compilation for all of the crowning moments of paladinery that Hinjo, O-Chul, Thanh, and Lien have.

I nominate the latest strip (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0830.html) for Redcloak's crowning moment of brutality. Holy cow! I mean, damn! :smalleek::smalleek:

If he keeps up at this pace, he'll be destroying Xykon five strips from now.

Crowning Moment of Realization/Mentorship (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0464.html)

Crowning Moment of "Oh Crude!" Part 1 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0118.html) And yes the realization in the strip prior to the explosion was better than the explosion itself.

Crowning Moment of "Oh Crude!" Part 2 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0463.html) Inversly, the actual explosion here was more significant as only about 4 characters actually saw it coming.

Crowning Moment of Puns (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0761.html)

Crowning Moment of "Stuff Just Got Real!"/Dramatic Reveal Part 1 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0787.html)

Crowning moment of villainy (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0448.html)

I'd say thats more a crowning moment of overconfidence. I believe more recent acts of villany, like pretty much anytime Tarquin goes into his evil smile, arms out stance (with or without dramatic light dims), and the current actions of RC would be better examples of crowning moment of villainy. But thats just my opinion.

I would post this (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0785.html) as a crowning moment of something, but then I realized that Tarquin is this badass and villainous all the time

Crowning moment of ...

...badass?
... entire comic?
...masterful manipulation?
...hilarity/badassery?
...awesome?
...brutality?
...payback?
...realization?
..."oh crud"?
..."stuff just got real"/dramatic reveal?
..."I told you so"?
...villainy?
