Hello-

I'm completely new to Pathfinder and starting a game in two weeks. It's a very lowly optimized party.

I'm trying to create a melee fighter. I'd like to take Karmic Strike and do something with the flavor of Jack B. Quick, but I still don't know if my DM will give me access to 3.5 feats. Regardless, I'm really enjoying the idea of the Cad Fighter Archetype combined with the Duelist PrC. Payback + Riposte just sounds awesome.

I'm looking for advice, suggestions, and potential builds. Any help is very much appreciated. I've really only begun to look through the Pathfinder SRD, and I'm bound to have missed things.

Thanks in advance!

Looking at the Prc and Archetype, it would seem like you're going for a "Touché!" sort of character. Style feats are fun, Crane style would suit this character pretty well:
Crane Style (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/crane-style-combat-style), Crane Wing (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/crane-wing-combat), Crane Riposte (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/crane-riposte-combat)

The above feat chain allows you to fight defensively with only -1 to attacks instead of -4. Then, while fighting defensively, you can deflect 1 melee attack that would normally hit you. Oh, and when you do this, you get a free Attack of Opportunity against the dude you deflected.

I would think this would work better as a rouge.

Unarmed enemies are flatfooted if you have catch-off guard and an improvised weapon, so disarm them and then shank the living/unliving **** out of them with your razor-sharp chair leg.

Of course, that's just my 2 cents.
