Hey, in the latest comic, http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0830.html, Redcloak took control of the Wights, with a Command Undead ability, but I don't know how he then could give them a suicidal order? What have I missed? (I'm aware he didn't use a spell, but an ability, but can rebuke do that?)

It's the effect of his rebuke. Instead of destroying them (as turn would do) it instead allows Redcloak to command them, with no limits on the commands given.
