Foreword: This isn't mean't to be a serious feat, but as a joke or one-off feat for april fools and specials etc.

CONSERVATION OF NINJITSU[GENERAL]

When you find youself in combat against overwhelming odds, you concentrate your ninjitsu within you, whilst theirs is spread thin.

Prerequisites: Diehard, Whirlwind attack

Benefit: When more than three hostile creatures of CR = to your level -5 attack you, you gain the following benefits:
- +4 temporary hitpoints
- +1 AC
- +1 Attack bonus
- +1 Damage bonus
- Damage reduction 1/+3
- +5ft land speed

Criticisms? How well would this work if it was used in an (unserious) game? OP, UP?
Thanks

Um... you have to take SEVEN feats as prerequisites (Endurance, Diehard, Combat Expertise, Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack, and Whirlwind Attack). As written, the feat only activates when the monsters are exactly CR (level-5). The benefits are pathetically tiny, apart from the DR, which is unclear (unless you're using the old notation and mean DR 1, bypassed by +3 or higher weapons, in which case it's still pretty bad). To top it all off, I fail to see why it's a joke feat-- it's not that silly and it's impressively underpowered.

Conservation of Ninjutsu (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ConservationOfNinjutsu).

He's right though. It is unbecoming of the concept.

Perhaps the benefits should scale with the number of enemies in the area? It may also be prudent to remove the CR requirement.

Would probably make it overpowered, but, hey, it's a joke feat, right?

I would make it based on how many enemies are nearby in comparison to how many (conscious) allies are nearby.

Because as is there are 4 adventurers vs 3 mooks and suddenly you get a boost, and it's bonuses just aren't worth the prerequisites.

Something like this...

You get a bonus on melee attack and damage rolls. Compare the result of the formula to the table:

(number of enemies within 30 ft) - (number of allies within 30 ft).

3 or less - no bonus
4-8: +1
9-15: +2
16-24: +3
25-35: +4
36-48: +5
49-63: +6
64+: +7

For math geeks: Formula is round down ( square root (number of enemies within 30 ft) - (number of allies within 30 ft) ) -2, to a minimum of zero.

In addition, as long as this feat provides a +1 or higher bonus, you automatically confirm any threatened critical hits.

Special: You may take this feat multiple times. When calculating the bonus provided, multiply teh result of the formula by the number of times you have taken the feat.

The formula should probably depend on Enemys/Allies, not Enemys-Allies.

Basically, if you're in a 2 to 1 situation, it should start applying.
