So I've been looking over the 3rd Party Class on the PFSRD, The Death Mage:

Now, I'm not saying it doesn't have killing potential. Between the Reaper Road and the Murder Domain can kill things. It still doesn't seem to work, and I know a Death Mage isn't solely just killing the opponents (although, kind of yeah) It's just at a certain level it's abilities focus more on bringing creatures back from the dead (Final Guide), or preventing them from dying (Deathly Abeyance) and in one case just chatting up the dead "Hey Baby, I like your bone structure" (Wisdom of the Grave). So, I'm wondering if anyone has thought up some Archetype that makes it less "save your soul" and more "You will be quiet now, forever"

Alright, since no one has any Archetype ideas, has anyone had the luxury (or the chance) to play the Death Mage and willing to share their experience?

Well, it's a Cha-based, prepared, full caster. That counts for something, even if the spell list is quite limited. The class is... not wonderful. Strikes more as a good class for interesting npcs.

Yeah, I came across that idea as well, might be neat alternative to a necromancer, maybe have an Intelligent Undead NPC or BBEG with some levels in it, it's shelved as an idea for a later date.

There's got to be something fun you could do with the shadow mage/shadow adept power.

Ah yes, the More real than real illusion tricks are well known by me. This isn't them but reminds me of them. But as I mentioned in the first post I was looking at the Reaper Road and straight up killing.
