Been rereading through the collections, and TMitD has many of the mannerisms of Homestar. And vaguely similar oval eyes. And the ability to pick things up without visible arms.

Anyway, now I can't reread a TMitD strip without hearing Homestar's voice coming out from under that umbrella.

Maybe it's just me.

I think the MiTD's grammar is better than Homestar's though.
