Hey guys, I thought about creating divine/arcane hybrid owing to another thread, what I wanted was not something that had a lot of versatility in their spells and the ability to use that large flexibility. I did not want this class to have the raw power of a straight cleric or wizard, but I did want them to have more option avaible to them than those repsective classes.

An acolyte can cast a number of Arcane and Divine spells per day. The number before the slash is the allotement for arcane, while the number after the slash is the allotement for divine

Fully half of the spells known must be arcane spells ( taken from the wizard spell list) while the other half are delegated to divine spells (taken from the cleric spell list).

Alignment: Any
Hit Die: 1d6

Class Skills:
Class Skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Decipher Script (Int),Heal (Wis), Knowledge (arcana) (Int), Knowledge (religion) (Int), Knowledge (the planes) (Int), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), and Spellcraft (Int).
Skill Points at 1st Level: (2 + Int modifier) Χ 4
Skill Points at Each Additional Level: 2 + Int modifier
Weapon and Armor Proficiency
Acolytes gain proficiency with only simple weapons. Not with any shields or armor.

Spells:
An Acolyte casts arcane and divine spells drawn from the Cleric’s and Wizard’s spell list, respectively. He must chose and prepare his spells ahead of time by getting 8 hours of sleep. To learn or cast a spell, an Acolyte must have a Wisdom score equal to at least 10 + the spell level for Cleric spells, or an Intelligence score of at least 10+spell level for Wizard spells.. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against an Acolyte’s spell is 10 + the spell level + the Acolyte’s Intelligence or Wisdom modifier, dependent on whether it is arcane or divine.

Like other spellcasters, an Acolyte can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level per day. His base daily spell allotment is given on the above table. In addition, he receives bonus spells per day if he has a high Intelligence and/or Wisdom score, Dependant on the source of magic. For example an Acolyte with a 12 Intelligence and a 14 Wisdom gains 1 bonus 1st level arcane spell and 1 bonus 1st level divine as well as 1 bonus 2nd level divine spell.
The Acolyte’s potential range of spells is extremely broad, but he may only know a limited, but still rather sizeable, total number of spells. His alignment, however, may restrict him from casting certain spells opposed to his moral or ethical beliefs; see Chaotic, Evil, Good, and Lawful Spells.

An Acolyte functions as both an arcane and a divine spellcaster, qualifying as either for purposes of prerequisites and magic effects.

Spell Book:
An Acolyte must study his spellbook each day to prepare his spells. He cannot prepare any spell not recorded in his spellbook, an Acolyte must choose spend 1 hour each day in quiet contemplation and study to regain his daily allotment of spells. While studying, the Acolyte decides which spells to prepare.

Special Abilities

Magical Aptitude {Ex}: An acolyte gets a +2 bonus on all Spellcraft checks and opposed caster level checks.

Mysticism {Su}: An Acolyte may once per day per every 5th level, use a free action to channel his inner power to grant himself a luck bonus on your saving throws, armor class, or ability checks equal to his Charisma modifier (minimum +1). This effect last 1 round per 2 Acolyte levels.

Spell Coalescence {Su}: An Acolyte is able to when casting a spell from one source of magic (arcane or divine) and taking a full action to do so, to cast a spell of the opposite source (divine or arcane) of the indicated level (1st at 7th, 4th at 16th) as a swift action. The spell thus cast as a swift action must have a casting time of 1 standard action normally and be at least 2 spell levels lower that the original spell in order to be eligible.

Abiding Metamagic {Su}: An Acolyte when casting a spell altered by metamagic can have the metamagic feat effect a spell he casts the following round. This ability may only be done a number of times per day equal to every 4th Acolyte level plus the Acolyte's Constitution modifier.

Spell Apothesis {Ex}: An Acolyte gains the ability to cast either 1 divine or 1 Arcane spell of 8th level once a day. In addition, a target that is effected by both an arcane and divine spell in the same round suffers a -2 to their save for both spells, while an ally find that both spells have either their duration or their effectiveness increased by 10%.

I see a few discrepancies and obvious issues, which I'll point out.

The first is that he has a limited spells known list, but casts from a spellbook. Spellbooks can have as many spells as you can cram in them, not a set number. Pick one or the other here. On a related note, I'd divide the spells known the same way you divided spells per day.

Second, the wording is odd enough on the abilities that they are pretty hard to understand. I would definitely try and clear up the wording some.

Finally, that is...a lot of spells per day, not including bonus spells. Not a real issue, but as a GM, I would think twice about letting me players take that much firepower. As a sidenote to this, that table looks strange. The pattern to determine spells per day seems to change as the class progresses. Also, level 16, 7th level spells seems to have a typo. Also, your BAB listing is way off.

All in all, it looks like a good class for a high power game. I look forward to the final product.
