Hey there, I'm trying to find ways of boosting my Spellcraft without more feats. I'm 9th lvl Wizard, so far I've got 12(ranks)+7(int)+10(item)+3(skill focus)+2(sinergy), at a total of 34; I have to reach at least 41. Ideas?

Here, let me Google that for you. (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=spellcraft+optimization) The top link has a pretty exhaustive listing.

I had seen that thread already, I can't get any of those things except maybe for Divine Insight - how can a Wizard cast it?

Anyway, is it possible to "order" items that give you different types of bonus to a single skill?

My memory is hazy, but can't you take 10?

If your race isn't set in stone (and it probably is for an INT bonus, I'm guessing) being a spellscale can get you +1/2 your character level on spellcraft checks through their bloodline quickening.

I'm assuming your +10 item grants an insight bonus, so you could net another +2 (circumstance bonus) for 50gp with a masterwork tool made for spellcraft.

On the cheesier side of life, could your familiar use aid another to get you a +2? lol

Perhaps he needs to make DC 51 and can't take 20? Or he needs to hit 61 and can.

Yeah, if possible, I'd just go for aid another stacking. That and an MW tool gives you between +4 (1 AA) and +8 (3 AAs) if you have 3 people two and your familiar to help you.

At level 9, I'm assuming you want to use an Incantatrix ability on a 5th level spell, so the DC would be 5x5+18=43. If you cast it outside of combat, you can take ten, so you need +33 Spellcraft, which you've already got.

A +X skill item can go up to +30 pre-epic (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/magicItems/basics.htm).

A Masterwork Tool (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/goodsAndServices.htm#toolMasterwork) costs 50 gp and gives you a +2 bonus to checks with the skill for which it was designed.

I would get Item Familiar (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/magic/itemFamiliars.htm), use Invest Skill Ranks to add a bonus to Spellcraft equal to your ranks in it, and never really have to worry about it again.
