Emon's Aura of Oppression
Abjuration [Mind-affecting]
Level: Sor/Wiz 9
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal
Area: 60-ft.-radius emanation, centered on you
Duration: 10 min/level (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

This spell functions as antimagic field, except as noted above and as follows. Unlike a normal antimagic field, a clear space precisely sized to contain you exists in the center of the emanation. Among other things, this allows you to cast spells outside of the field, and allows others spellcasters to target you with spells cast from outside (though all spells, both your own and others', have any portions of their effect that extends into the aura suppressed, as normal).

Additionally, all foes within the area of antimagic suffer a -2 penalty to all attack rolls made against you, and a -6 penalty to all damage rolls and skill checks made against you. This secondary aspect of the spell is a mind-affecting effect.

Material Component
A pinch of mixed adamantine and onyx dust.

Emon's Reactive Warding
Abjuration
Level: Sor/Wiz 8
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Duration: Permanent until triggered, then 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)

This spell functions as the energy immunity spell, except as noted above and as follows. You need not specify an energy type when you cast this spell; rather, the spell's energy flares to life when you would be subjected to damage from an energy type you are not immune to, instantly granting you immunity to that energy type. Each round, the energy immunity reactively switches to absorb the first type of energy damage you would be subjected to, unless you will it to remain in its current state for the round (a free action that may be taken out of turn).

Material Component
A flask of alchemist's fire, a flask of acid, a thunderstone, and a flask of alchemist's ice, all of which are consumed in the casting of the spell.

Emon's Retaliatory Dispelling
Abjuration
Level: Sor/Wiz 7
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)

Whenever the touched creature would be struck by a magical weapon, that weapon is first subjected to a targeted greater dispel magic effect. If the result of the dispel check is sufficient to suppress the weapon's properties, they are suppressed for one minute instead of the normal duration.

Material Component
A tiny glass sword, which melts into a miniscule pool of water as you complete the spell.

Emon's Suppressive Blast
Abjuration
Level: Sor/Wiz 9
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Area: 40-ft.-radius burst, centered on you
Duration: Instantaneous and 1 round/2 levels (see text)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

Upon completion of this spell, all magic in the affected area is temporarily nullified. Firstly, you may make a dispel check against each foe caught within the area, as if casting a targeted greater dispel magic, except the maximum bonus from your caster level increases to +30.

Secondly, and more importantly, all magic within the area is suppressed. Magical items fail to work, supernatural abilities cannot be used, and any attempt to cast a spell fails outright. Any active spells or supernatural abilities on creatures are not automatically dispelled by this effect, but their effects are suppressed for the duration. This effect lingers on all affected creatures for the duration, including yourself, though unaffected creatures may dispel this secondary effect as normal, with a -5 penalty to the dispel check.

Greater artifacts are unaffected by this spell, as are lesser artifacts with a caster level higher than your own.

Material Component
A clear glass bead filled with silver dust, which you shatter as you complete the spell.

Emon's Unimpeachable Armor
Abjuration [Force]
Level: Sor/Wiz 7
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal
Duration: 1 hour/level
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: No

This spell functions as greater mage armor, except as noted above and as follows. In addition to the +6 armor bonus normally afforded by mage armor, you may select armor enchantments whose total combined level do not exceed one-fifth your caster level; you gain the effects of these armor enchantments just as if you were wearing normal armor, and may make use of them for the spell's duration.

Emon's Unimpeachable Shield
Abjuration [Force]
Level: Sor/Wiz 6
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal
Duration: 1 minute/level
Saving Throw: No
Spell Resistance: No

This spell functions as shield, except as noted above and as follows. In addition to the +4 shield bonus normally afforded by shield, you may select shield enchantments whose total combined level do not exceed one-fifth your caster level; you gain the effects of these shield enchantments just as if you were wearing a normal shield, and may make use of them for the spell's duration.

These all look extremely interesting, though it is important to note (at least from my understanding) that a researched spell only exists on the spell list(s) of the character who researches them. (For example, if Emon is a specialist abjurer, any spells he creates would not be available to a sorcerer, since sorcerers get their magic naturally and could not "learn" a spell by reading it from a scroll or being taught by a wizard. Similarly, if Emon is a sorcerer, his research is a result of his own inbred power and him tapping into it naturally, preventing someone from simply reading a scroll and immediately understanding how it works)

That's how I do it anyway. It might not be RAW, but it helps add to the feeling of a researched spell, makes it more unique and more special.

That said, these spells are all pretty cool. Emon's Aura of Oppression is basically a greater antimagic field with a little crushing despair thrown in. I would make it an Enchantment/Abjuration spell (Dual school spells do exist, and this spell definitely has some Enchantment vibes)

Emon's Reactive Warning is a strange combination of contingency, permanency, energy immunity and foresight. It's certainly worthy of the title "8th level abjuration spell".

Emon's Retaliatory Dispelling is like a super awesome version of black karma curse, but for abjurers. I really like it. Though, it's still magic. I would change it to SR: Yes (Harmless). I know dispel magic doesn't allow SR, but you're not dispelling someone, you're imbuing them with a protective magical aura. It's like protection from arrows (which is SR: Yes (Harmless) )

Emon's Suppressive Blast is (and you probably designed it with this intent) a homebrew fix to mage's disjunction. It's basically everything you like about disjunction with none of the magical Sundering. In that respect, it's...decent. I would add a line about it not being able to affect artifacts. Otherwise it is strictly better than disjunction (since it can suppress artifacts with no penalty) and that's a line I wouldn't cross.

Done and done (sorta).

Emon's Unimpeachable Armor and Emon's Unimpeachable Shield added to the list. Can't believe I forgot to include those the first time around, considering they were sitting in my word document right next to the others...
