The Eagle Knight gains no additional weapon or armor proficiencies

(Spells explanation: the Eagle Knight shouldn't lose ranger spell levels as there are few to begin with.)

Eagle Mount: The Eagle Knight gains an extra eagle companion of a size he may ride.(large for humans and medium for halflings.) He treats his effective druid level for determining the bonuses as his character level. (in our world rangers get full lvl for companions.)

Eagle Eyes: The Eagle Knight spends a lot of time in the air and rightfully his eyes need to adjust. A 1st level eagle knight gains low-light vision, allowing him to see twice as far as a humans. She retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions. If an eagle knight already has low-light vision from another source (such as his race), his lowlight vision improves, allowing him to see three times as far as humans An eagle knight also gain a +4 competance bonus to spot and search checks.

Improved Mounted Archery: The Eagle knight is heavily trained in doing archery from eagle back. He no longer takes a penalty from using a ranged weapon while mounted, except a -2 penalty when your mount is running.

Mounted Longbow: The eagle knight has trained long on the use of a longbow even while mounted. The Eagle Knight can now use a Longbow while Mounted without penalty. (This includes any ground mount the knight rides.)

Improved Grab: To use this ability, an eagle must hit with a bite or claw attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. A medium eagle is considered 1 size larger for determining a grab.

Shriek: A 4th level eagle knights eagle has a breath-weapon like sonic attack. For every 4 HD the giant eagle has, the sonic attack deals 3d8 points of damage in a cone equal to the eagle knights class level times 5 ft. (ignores hardness). The giant eagle can only use this ability once every 2d4 rounds. An eagle can take metabreath feats to improve this ability.

Greater Eagle Eyes: By 5th level, the eagle knights vision reaches the pinacle of its clarity. He gains an additional +4 competence bonus to spot and search checks (+8 over all class lvls), and can always choose to take 10 on spot checks, even in adverse conditions.

Extraordinary Talons: At 5th level an eagle's talons may be enchanted as masterwork weapons.
