Let's see what we got Butt Monkeys characters in OOTS.
1. Azurites (More so after losing their city and their Resistance was wiped out in Comic 827.)
2. Nameless Characters (mooks, redshirts and nameless NPC).
3. Demon Roaches.
For those who doesn't know what butt monkey is the characters who face a lot of bad lucks or suffer alot.

I wouldn't say the roaches suffer a lot. I mean, two of them have died (IIRC), but that's about it.

Also, definitely no rule of funny where they're concerned. Both times one of them has died, it's been quite a dramatic moment, probably to counter the image we all have of them of being pretty cool guys good at wise-cracks and smarmy comments.

As for real butt monkeys... Roy, especially through the early episodes. The Flumphs definitely.... hmm, O'Chul was one for a while, when he was paralysed and captive of the MitD, I think. I'm sure there are others.

Yes, this is what I wanted to say.
Azurites Government may be genocidic but they shouldn't deserve the loss of their city and resistance. That's why I put them in Butt Monkey list since they get all the bad things a lot.

The 2nd roach was at least partly a rule of funny. the one O'Chul killed was all drama, though.

Yes, but they have also been oppressed (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0373.html) (which apparently was horrible) and oppressed via threats (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0476.html), although the last time there was at least some revenge (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0477.html) involved.

Also, the Eye of Fear and Flame was a butt monkey for pretty much its entire appearance.
