250 years after the crisis of Angara, the world has changed greatly. Gone are the three kingdoms that mutually share the continent, and in their place is simply the Republic of Angara. No more is there a military, and thus, the council of Angara instead allows for guilds to be formed. Each guild works in specific businesses, on hire, from everything to handling economics to mercenary work. This is the story of one such guild.

You have been hired as the headliner to the newly formed mercenary guild, The Protectors of Angara. The guild roster currently contains the following members.

Thunder, Epic, and Aroo were all slain by an encounter with the Tarasque. The guild has offered a massive reward to any who can avenge their deaths. So far, there are no takers.
There are two jobs available for you to accept right now.
Quell an undead uprising.
There has been tell of unidentified undead attacking the small town of Henders, near the edge of the forest of Gestorn. The trip is a three day trip average from the Guild, and the pay will be 500 GP to the guild.

Protect a merchant Caravan.
There's been tell of a bandit group attacking traveling merchant caravans traveling the trade route between Stonebrook and Woodalia. You are to travel with one, and protect them from any bandit attacks. This is expected to be a ten day trip, altogether, and will pay 650 GP to the guild.

Shark

Licking at his lips like a crazed fan, Shark rustles his blue, cropped, hair. His body is lean to look like water, and fluid in the same trek. He looks at his Ally, and smiles at the comparison. "Well, a ten day trip with threats from Bandits. Sounds like my type of party! Let's go fella, and get some money on the way." Shark enjoys the thrill of the job, not the behind the scenes paper work. He wholeheartedly accepts the protection job for the higher pay.

The two set off to to meet up with the caravan. The caravan travels for a few odd days with no complications. On the fourth day, the caravan is stopped by a small squad of bandits.

Shark

Getting a nice look at all of them, he glances at Thunder, and then smiles. Digging into his pouch, he pulls out a small vial of potion, and then drinks it all up. After ingesting it, he moves, bottle in hand, near to his Ally, in order to protect the Caravan.


Move Action: Retrieve potion, Shield of Faith.
Standard Action: Drink potion, allowing +2 deflection bonus to AC.

The Bandit speaks aloud momentarily, then his blade turns blue. He moves around to Thunder's side, and swings his blade in towards Thunder

Taking the hit like a strong man would, Shark lays in further, and attempts another cleaving of an attack on his foe. The attack comes as more of a slice, than a pierce. This attack singles in on the second Bandit, who attempted to kill Shark just before hand.

Upon returning home, the duo finds that two new adventurers have been hired to their level of the organization. There has been talk of a mission too hard for any of the members of that level to handle, and some higher level men were sent out to take care of it. One mission remains on the board for the players to choose from.

The three of you approach the cave where the undead are said to hide. Entering in slowly, you come across the monstrous creatures, and prepare to fight.

Epic

"BE GONE, SATAN!!!!" Epic quotes a favourite line of his, and then hurls his wooden stake like a mad man at the outer most undead, undead 1. He then takes a smooth stride up, and stands behind Thunder. "Go on, go get 'em boy. You can do it. Go hurt the medium sized bad things."

Aroo

Seeing the undead; a shiver ran down Aroo's spine. He hated the utmost scariest things in the world, it always made him question why he was even on the battlefield. Moving behind Epic for protection, and for secret purposes, to hide the large wet spot in the center of his pants. Glancing from out behind Epic, he saw his Eidolon. The creature was his partner; and he needed to aid it in anyway possible. Whispering in a soft tone; the Eidolon had begun to shake.

Standard Action: Cast Guidance.
Move Action: Moving behind Epic.
Swift Action: None.
Free Action: Piss in pants.

Eidolon

The Eidolon's serpentine body approached the Undead 1, it's glossy-white scales were thick and prevented it from being damaged by the terrain. It's fangs bared, poised to attack, it was like the alternative ego of Aroo.

Thunder winces at the strength of the attack, and hefting his own greataxe, he growls and swings it, attempting to cleave the creature in two. As he does so, he bends his head in and attempts to gore the foe with the same attack.

Epic

Bored, Epic begins to dance around in his area. This steps him around, and he gains courage against many a thing. He also gains plenty of competence to it all. He also uses his hands to cone out, and echo his voice. "Move Bitch." After such a tone, his stake rises, and is flung back towards his feet.


Standard Action: Cast Ghost Sound behind the two skeletons. The sound heard is the sound of a 14 man squad running and screaming at the undead.
Move Action: Start Inspire Courage Dervish Dance.

The snake-like creature had now lunged forward towards the leftover undead.

Epic

Pulling his dance moves off even more, he aims his hands towards the last skeleton's chest, using a withdrawing movement, Epic allows for Thunder a clearer shot, as well as lifting his hands to create a spell within twenty-feet of himself. Hopefully, the skeleton with have his chest cavity propped open from such a spell.

Epic

Jumping around like an idiot, Epic was still battle dancing out of simple fact of forgetting he was. "Woot Woot! I'm Awesome, we all know it." Forgeting his Stake all together, Epic finishes his dance with an epic flip. He scrounges around the victims, searching for any valuables.

He stops short of his target, but relaxes, feeling relatively safe.

The incredibly large man had an even larger scythe in one hand, leaning against his shoulder, and a large shield in the other, clad in heavy full plate armor. The only noticable quality about him were the magic symbols floating around his head, and the light he seemed to give off for no apparent reason.

Zilla growls taking the hit powerfully, but showing little for the wound, and turns on the small man, swinging his scythe in towards the man with great speed, he'd spin it after the first strike, swinging it in towards the man's side a second time, and then a third time, hacking downwards overhead finally ramming the top end of the scythe in towards the mans gut.

Another spell could be heard, and a loud crash could be heard, the earth shaking a bit, one more spell afterwards, a spread of five missiles launched from where the dragon landed, homing in cleanly on exactly where the invisible man, the dragon now visible with a scythe floating around his head.

The dragon also has multiple copies of himself bouncing back and forth, making the huge dragon look as though it were even bigger.

The dragon roars, and lashes out with every weapon its got. As his claws strike in, the scythe swings in for a first strike, followed by another one at twice its speed, the dragon lashes in and bites, allowing its scythe to follow behind, and then slaps at the man with both its wings and tail at the same time, his scythe striking one last time.
