What are the best Arcane Abjuration and Divination spells?

I am playing a homebrewed character (specifically this class (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5207261&postcount=2)) and it allows me to have any Divination or Abjuration Arcane spell from PHB, PHB 2, Spell Compendium, and Complete Mage. And Arcane doesn't just mean Sorc/Wiz but also any Arcane spell in general.

What are the best spells from those sources? Are there any traps I should look out for? Are there any other spells I should ask really, really hard for my DM to add? After all I noticed that in those books, Abjuration and Divination don't normally get a lot of spells per level unlike popular schools like Conjuration, Transmutation, or even Evocation.

Hunter's Eye sadly isn't Arcane by default (typically obtained as an Arcane spell via Unseen Seer). If you can get it through Unseen Seer shenanigans, go for it.
