I've tried the Wizards archive, but it didn't help - even the Does it stack section - and I can't find it in the book.

So, purely hypothetical situation. A wizard drops a daylight spell on a group of especially slow drow. They're blinded, then dazzled whilst they stay in range:

Dazzled: A dazzled creature takes a –1 penalty on attack rolls, Search checks, and Spot checks.

Then a warlock shoots a sickening blast at them:

Sickened: The character takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.

Finally, a barbarian bangs his shield at them in an intimidating way

Shaken: A shaken character takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.

It's now the drow's turn to act: do these all stack, meaning they have a -5 to attack rolls &c, or does only the most onerous condition apply?

They're untyped penalties from multiple sources, so they should stack.

They're untyped penalties from multiple sources, so they should stack. Yep. Untyped bonuses/penalties stack.

It's important to note that without an ability such as Never Outnumbered or Mass Staredown, you can only Intimidate one foe at a time. So only one of those drow would take a -5 penalty, in this particular hypothetical situation.

However, yes, multiple penalties from a large variety of sources do stack with each other. If you really wanted to mess with them even further, you could entangle them. Then all the fencers and archers would take -2 to hit.
