How would you build this kind of character (fluff) without using the PrC of the same name (crunch). (please site sources)

Cleric of an evil deity (Player's Handbook).

Evil Crusader (Tome of Battle).

Paladin of Tyranny or Slaughter (Unearthed Arcana). Possibly combined with Hexblade (Complete Warrior) and/or Evil Incarnate (Magic of Incarnum) and/or Binder (Tome of Magic).

I would then give the character black, spiky full plate, a black, spiky weapon, and a sour demeanor. Instant blackguard?

I suppose Paladin of Tyranny. You don't get the sneak attack though... so maybe a Cleric/Rogue? Hmm, tough.

Edit: The post above me did a lot better job. If you want that SA, maybe some Crusader/Cleric/Rogue mix.

The ultimate form of evil. Your free feats are open to Gishing. You end up with 9th level spells (pick a domain with good buffs, because that's all you get), 8th level maneuvers, and you get to be a walking blasphemy.
