[3.5] Any low-cr desert creatures?

I'm running a campaign for a group of friends of mine, and in their next session they'll have to go in a desert to gather some ice (yeah.)
Anyway, i was thinking about what monsters they could fight.
The party is level four (actually three, but one fight away from four, AND they will make that fight before they head in the desert)

The party is composed of:
-Druid
-Barbarian
-Factotum
-Bard

They're low-op, nothing particularly powerful is being used.
So. Any good desert creatures i can make them fight?

sandstorm would have plenty of creatures like war camels, ashworms, dustblight, memphits, porcupine cactus, canisphinx, scorpions and so on

Bandits are always a good option; they want water and supplies to continue being bandits.

Okay, by checking Sandstorm i found Giant Termites, which look like formian lite, and that's great.
I'll have a hive of them somewhere. Anything else?
